Although it is hard to leave our cherished restaurant family and patrons, we have decided it is time for us to retire. We are forever grateful to all for 20+ great years at Le Normandy & Claude & Uli’s Bistro. We are extremely pleased to introduce you to the new owner, Pascal, and welcome you to what will become the Savory Café & Provisions. Like Claude, Pascal is a native Frenchman, and upon coming to South Carolina by way of California, he fell in love with the Lowcountry and decided to stay. For nearly two decades, Chef Claude and Uli have delighted diners with their bistro’s European cuisine, hospitality and charming, casual ambiance. Chef Claude applies his classic French training and international experience in preparing coastal South Carolina’s seafood, meats and produce. The results are a delicious expression of Claude & Uli’s philosophy: “Exquisite dishes at affordable prices.”

Claude Melchiorri has cooked in such legendary restaurants as Maxim’s in Paris, the Connaught in London, and Ernie’s in San Francisco. Upon visiting Hilton Head, he stayed, and has been in love ever since. Read more…
